Job Description: 
The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and construction of the City's streets, sidewalks, parks, public buildings, street trees, flood control channels, traffic signals, City-owned vehicles and equipment, water system, trash and recycling services, and animal care services. Interns can be assigned to various sections of the Public Works Department. The Engineering division may assign interns to work on special projects in the Land Development, Capital Projects, and/or Traffic sections. Knowledge of drafting software (i.e., AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
