Allison Febbo
Allison Febbo has nearly 25 years of experience in natural resources, hydrology, and water operations. She currently serves as General Manager of Westlands Water District, which is the largest agricultural water district by irrigable acres in the United States and includes more than 1,000 square miles of prime farmland in California’s San Joaquin Valley. As the first woman to hold the post, Allison is responsible for directing all operations of the District while also serving as the administrative head of the District in its relations with the public, legislative bodies, Federal and State governments, and local public agencies.
Prior to her role at Westlands, Allison served as the General Manager for the Mojave Water Agency, where she oversaw the development of a comprehensive drought resiliency plan for the region. A recognized leader in water planning and management, Allison has also worked on multiple landmark California water projects including the Delta Conveyance Project and the Shasta Reservoir Temperature Management Project. With extensive training in hydrology and water operations, Allison is focused on bridging the gap between science, engineering, and policy as it relates to California water sustainability with a focus on agricultural and rural use.
She has a Master of Science in Hydrologic Science from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Atmospheric Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
