Goal: Showcase the career opportunities in the water industry
Bring educators onsite to water facilitities so they see how their students can find a place in water.

Goal: The ACWA Foundation looks forward to collaborating with other organizations to assist in developing a strong pipeline of skilled workers from all communities for the water industry. We will seek to create consortias of smaller and mid-sized agencies, and private providers to work with education and build pathways to jobs in water.
We are doing this by promoting internships throughout the state.
We are doing this by developing a High School Internship toolkit to ease the burden of program creation and provide opportunities to students throughout the state.

Goal: The ACWA Foundation looks forward to helping current water professionals upskill and transition into leadership roles and facilitate solutions to training required to bring external professionals into the industry on a career basis.

Hiring & Retention Best Practices – Help employers develop long-term workforce strategies, including supporting the needs of employees to minimize attrition in highly skilled positions.
Customized Workforce Training – Offer tailored technical and leadership training for water agencies.
Research & Industry Collaboration
Workforce Trends & Needs Analysis – Study labor market trends and skills gaps in the water sector specifically focusing on barriers to entry.
