Lisa Mealoy
Lisa Mealoy is the Executive Director of the ACWA Foundation, where she leads efforts to expand and diversify California’s water workforce. With a career rooted in workforce development for the water and energy sectors, Lisa has built a reputation for forging innovative public–private partnerships that connect education, industry, and community.
She has worked extensively with California Community Colleges, advancing career technical education programs that prepare students for in-demand, high-skill jobs. Lisa has partnered with utilities, contractors, and state agencies to design programs that not only strengthen the talent pipeline but also make careers in water visible and accessible to a broader, more diverse range of students and returning adult learners.
Her leadership emphasizes collaboration across sectors, ensuring that both public agencies and private employers benefit from workforce strategies grounded in research and responsive to real-world needs. At the ACWA Foundation, Lisa is driving initiatives that position water careers as meaningful pathways with opportunities across finance, engineering, operations, technology, and more.
