Job Description:  The Auto & Heavy Equipment Mechanic Internship offers students the opportunity to work with experienced mechanics while gaining practical experience and training in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of automotive, diesel, and powered equipment and vehicles. The Auto & Heavy Equipment Intern will work under the direct oversight of a supervisor and senior mechanics in the Recharge Operations Department.

The mission of the Recharge Operations Department at OCWD is to replenish the groundwater basin and manage the conservation pool behind Prado Dam. This entails recharging the Santa Ana River baseflows and stormflows, and imported water. These operations include the use, preventative maintenance, and repair of automotive, heavy equipment, and other powered equipment.
